There are also different functionalities of the flanges we make. Our MS blind flange is used in applications that require a closure of pipes. In locations where the connection has to be sealed water tight, the MS puddle flange can be used. It seals the ends of both pipes inside the flange part. There are different standards such as the mild steel flange ANSI B16.5 which has flanges of ½ inches to 24 inches with varying pressure capacities. Mild steel is a ferrous metal made from iron and carbon. Mild steel has a carbon content of between 0.16% and 0.29 % maximum with a relatively high melting point of between 1450°C to 1520°C.
